Travertine stones may have dry seams, pits, and fossils. Polished and honed stones, are usually filled at the factory. Tumbled, rustic, and honed limestone, are filled with grout during installation. The fill can work its way out of the voids, it may be necessary to refill these voids as part of a normal maintenance. White thin-set or mortar is required for all limestone, tumbled stones, “antiqued stones” and light color marbles. Natural stone materials have variations in color, finish, and shade it will most likely differ from tile to tile. This is expected with any natural stone product and makes it natural and beautiful.
Travertine is a light-colored type of limestone that is used especially in buildings. It comes from our stone quarry, is not mass produced and is very durable. Strong enough for outside beautiful on the inside.

The three grades of travertine are: Premium which has a small amount of filler, standard more filler and commercial has lots of filler. Cut types are: Vain with linear pattern, fleuri random, cross cut and sometimes circular.
